PRP Hair

PRP Hair Treatment

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a hair loss treatment where a patient’s blood, rich in platelets and growth factors, is injected into the scalp.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections are a safe, non-surgical treatment for hair loss and thinning. Using the patient’s own platelets, PRP stimulates hair regrowth by harnessing the body’s natural healing process to rejuvenate the scalp.

At Greensthetics, our experienced team and advanced facilities provide personalised care and effective treatments tailored to your needs.

What it targets?

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is a three-step hair loss treatment. First, blood is drawn and processed to separate the platelets. The PRP is then injected into thinning areas of the scalp, often with micro-needling.

Rich in white blood cells and growth factors, PRP stimulates hair growth, increases hair count, enhances thickness, and prolongs the hair growth phase.

Treatment Process

We use a state-of-the-art system to extract the highest concentration of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) available in Australia. After evaluating all PRP systems, we chose a closed system to minimize contamination risk while ensuring the highest platelet concentration and the ability to process larger blood volumes for optimal results.

PRP is derived from blood through centrifugation, separating into three layers. The platelet-rich layer, between red blood cells and light plasma, is extracted for treatment.

Platelets are essential for clotting and contain growth factors vital for tissue regeneration and wound healing. In PRP treatments, these platelets are concentrated to deliver significant healing benefits to the treatment area.

For hair loss, PRP is injected into the scalp or applied during microneedling. For acne scarring or facial rejuvenation, PRP is applied topically after treatments like laser or microneedling. Typically, treatments are done monthly for three months to achieve optimal results.

Benefits

At Greensthetics, PRP hair loss treatment is supported by strong scientific evidence for stimulating hair growth. The procedure involves injecting PRP around hair follicles or applying it during microneedling for enhanced absorption.

Typically, three sessions are done one month apart, followed by maintenance every three to six months. Increased hair growth is often seen within three to six months. Any remaining PRP can be used for additional skin treatments.

Pre and Post-Treatment Care

PRE-TREATMENT: No specific preparation is required for treatments, but it’s recommended to discuss potential downtime for facial treatments with your practitioner.

Patients should stay hydrated to assist with blood collection. For hair regrowth PRP, a short haircut a few days before treatment is advised.

POST-TREATMENT: Hair regrowth treatments typically require no specific aftercare, and discomfort after injections is rare. For combined treatments, patients will receive detailed post-procedure instructions during their initial consultation.
